Despite CORONA-related restrictions, that's okay. Located right in the city center.

The Romantik Hotel Deutsches Haus zu Pirna is very centrally located, in the middle of the traffic-calmed city center near the market square. In contrast to new buildings, this hotel still has charm and creates a hospitable atmosphere. The hotel's own parking spaces are also available. Even the reservation showed you as a guest that the customer is king here. Very friendly communication, all questions answered quickly and completely. I found it great that during the Corona crisis, the period for free cancellation was shortened to the day of departure. In fact, I had to use this option - no problem. For me, having just got to know the number 1 in Pirna, my tip!

The hotel is dingy, they tried to make it nice. After cleaning it looks like the pictures. I have different expectations. For the money and 4 stars I expect a different level of comfort!

The rooms are nicely designed and clean. Everyone is very nice. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Parking space is available. All in all very nice. Unfortunately there is hardly any reception D1 and D2. The free WiFi was totally bad.

Very good food, from the region. The Saxon sauerbraten with potato dumplings is highly recommended. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They even had sauces afterwards.

Reception abrupt, room not really clean, towels were missing. Location and size ok, nice old style

Dirty rooms, pillows smelled musty. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom, here too the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Shower clogged because it was very dirty. Good breakfast and food. Nice service

When we arrived in the room, the bathroom was in an unreasonable, dirty condition. We got another room. Overall, everything is grubby. No corona concept at all recognizable at breakfast. Breakfast tables with crumbs and edges from the previous one. We decided to have breakfast elsewhere.

4 nights for two in mid-August. The room was very dusty on arrival. Dust mice in visible corners, thick layer of dust, etc. on the soap dispenser, under the bed. Ceiling very low, my friend (1.90m) had to duck in the shower. No towels. Ventilation cover in the bathroom dusty and dirty. The wifi was down and was not fixed during our stay. The bed was untidily prepared on arrival and the mattresses were old, very saggy and gave back pain. The water bottle promised when booking was missing and it was not answered when asked. There was also no apology. The staff showed disinterest and spread mainly an unwelcome atmosphere at breakfast. Our stay in the room was definitely not worth four stars. The only positive thing was the location in nice Pirna.

Hotel rooms are stylish and appropriately adapted to the theme, only the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, the food tastes good but for the price I expect the dishes to be well prepared and not slapped on the plates like in a large canteen. But staff very friendly.

The house is centrally located and can be easily reached on foot. However - as has already been criticized by others - the interior design and technology are getting on in years: the furniture in the room seems to be put together arbitrarily, the bathroom is clearly too small for a double room and the elevator should be overhauled so that you don't have to worry about a "ride" must get stuck. The service is not great either: there was no water (bottle) in the room, only glasses, there was no minibar. The drinks machine on the floor was also missing and we were only given / billed a bottle of water at the restaurant price (€ 6.50) at reception upon request. The breakfast was also not convincing for the high price. The icing on the cake was the location of the rooms: facing the street and free of charge the public partying until midnight at tables on the street directly in front of the windows. If you like it, ok. We will check in elsewhere in the future, the romantic chain may continue to dream of their dream.

It's a shame that this hotel is getting old. The room I had had nothing to do with romance or a four star hotel. The walls and the ceiling are cracked, the mattress is pretty saggy, old and worn furniture, the carpet looks pretty dingy and clean is something else. I didn't feel comfortable in this hotel and the price was too high for that. For me there is definitely no question of another visit.

Excellent experience at the Hotel Deutsches Haus The three of us shared a nice and clean room with 3 single beds There was a delicious buffet for breakfast. Very nice staff. I am particularly grateful for the delivery of my electronic toothbrush that I forgot from the room. Many thanks again!

"Only" with 4 stars, because otherwise no increase would be possible - and there are always. Nevertheless, the hotel was opened from May 15th to 17th. visited and for the 3rd time - it was all without complaints. All criteria were also implemented very well during this time. Thanks a lot . . . and we'll be back a fourth time. Promised!

This is a review not about the hotel, but about the restaurant. We had dinner there on Thursday 6 Feb. 2020. My partner had a stew of goose: it was so over-salted that hardly any other taste was left, and my partner felt thirsty for over a day. I had a goulash of deer. The meat was so hard and dry, it was hardly edible; it seemed to have been stewing for ages, perhaps it was a left-over. The rest of the dishes was likewise poor. When the waitress asked us whether we liked the food and we said no and explained, she have hardly any reply. No apologies, no compensation. It seemed we were the only guests that evening, by the way.

We were booked not into the Romantik Hotel proper but into Am Malerweg. Might be especially for hikers. We spent two nights one week apart in two different rooms. Room and bathroom were spacious enough for two. The first room however was quite dirty with dust bunnies and dirt on the floor and big chunk of hair in the bathroom. The 2nd room seemed better. Wifi was highly depending on the rooms location. Breakfast was served in the Romantik Hotel proper (but they do have a breakfast room in the other house as well - so maybe used when they are fully booked). That was quite ok with rolls, bread, spreads, cheese and other stuff expected from a German breakfast. Beds were decent, more on the softer side but acceptable. All in quite ok and convinient location next to a pub (and close to the city's market)

Great location in the middle of town. Old historic building, but our room was small and cramped. Beautiful patio area, which unfortunately was closed when we visited. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant offers views of the church.

An okay hotel but pricy. A good breakfast and great surroundings.
